    Metric Hex Bolts – Dimensional Standard for Metric Hex Bolting.

    ASME B18.2.3.5M Metric Hex Bolts are metric-series externally threaded fasteners with dimensional requirements for head height, width across flats, width across corners, body diameter, thread pitch, thread length, and bolt length tolerances in SI units — the standard reference for metric hex bolting in systems interfacing with global equipment. These bolts are widely used in pressure equipment, structural steelwork, machinery, and process piping requiring metric standards. They are used with ASTM A1014/A1014M for UNS N07718 (Inconel 718) bolting in service environments demanding exceptional tensile strength and corrosion resistance, including offshore, petrochemical, and power generation. The metric counterpart to ASME B18.2.1 Hex Bolts, they are also available in a broad range of ASTM alloy steel, stainless steel, and nonferrous grades. B18.2.3.5M addresses dimensional tolerances only, with mechanical requirements governed by the paired ASTM specification.
